What are the rental rates?

Our rental rates vary depending on the duration and type of car.

Contact us for a personalized quote.

We do not allow immediate bookings due to overbookings that lead to unwanted cancellations.

That way, all reservations must be allowed and confirmed by us via email, phone, or WhatsApp.

Do you offer airport pick-up and drop-off?

Yes, we provide convenient airport pick-up and drop-off services for our customers' convenience all arround the Island.

The vehicle will be delivered according to the location informed when booking was made.

If the option was airport, an Habitat Madeira Rent a Car employee will be waiting outside the exit door.
Always keep the phone On when arriving to the Airport.

The costs of pickup and drop off are 15€ for bookings with 6 or less days. 7 days or plus is free.

From 8PM to 8AM a Night Rate is applied - 20€

Drivers and passengers requirements

Drivers age below 21 or over 70 years old must be approved by us in a prior contact.

All drivers must have a valid drivers licence for the rented vehicle and minimum 2 years of licence.

The number of passengers is limited to the vehicle oficial seats.

The full insurance is valid for driver and passengers.

What is not included?

Car interior damage, lost keys or damaged tools, misfuelling tank, towing services and taxi or transfer services if not autorized by us.

Garaging, parking and traffic fines is drivers responsability.

I don't have a credit card. Can I Rent a car?

Yes, you can.

Rentals can be paid in cash.

We don't ask for your cards unless you want to pay the rental with one.

Payments

Payments are made only when you receive the car and sign the contract.

No deposit is needed.

Payment can be done in Cash, Credit or Debit Card.

American Express is not acceptable.

Rental cancelations procedures

Cancelations must be informed by email or phone/whatsapp 24 hours before the rental start date.
There is NO FEE to cancelations but client can be added to black list to future orders, in our rent-a-car and partners, if the cancelation procedure is not followed.

Prices, taxes and rental period

All prices include taxes and Full Insurance.

The minimal rental period is 3 days.

If the return date is not respected adicional cost can be applied and authorities will be notified as "missing/stolen car".

It is not allowed to take the car to Porto Santo Island by ferry.

In Bookings of 6 days or less, a cost of €15 will be applied for the vehicle delivery/collection service.

For bookings of 7 days or more, this service is free.

Prices may change during high seasons such as Christmas, End of the year, Easter, Flower Festival, Summer or other events and special dates due to the high demand for vehicles.

Vehicles: Deliverys, collection and replacement

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as delivered, adicional fuel when returning will not be reimbursed.

When picking and delivering, a visual check for damages will be made in the presence of the client.

All locations for picking and delivery will be according to the reservation made. Changes of location is possible but contact must be made with 24 hours in advance.

If needed, vehicles will be replaced by other of the same group or superior.

Vehicles images shown on the booking process are for model identification only. Exterior/interior features and colors may be different from the actual vehicle beeing rented.

Vehicles accidents and damages

In the event of any mechanical difficulties or accidents involving your car, it is important that details are reported to us immediately.

In the event of an accident you must also complete an accident report form by the end of the rental period.

Local police should also be notified in the case of accidents/injuries and a signed police report obtained. Full details of third parties should also be obtained.

You are not given authority to repair a vehicle, and should retain copies of all rental documentation in the event an insurance company is involved.

Your insurance cover may be invalidated if this procedure is not followed correctly and this may prejudice any claim for compensation.
